Horst Wessel commemorative postcard with the famous song he wrote the lyrics of - "Die Fahne Hoch". Optional photo shows him in his Sturmführer uniform leading an SA unit at a Nazi Party rally in Nuremberg, 1929.

 

Horst Wessel, was a Berlin Sturmführer (the lowest commissioned officer rank) of the Sturmabteilung (SA). After his murder in 1930, he was made into a martyr for the Nazi cause. The lyrics he authored - "Die Fahne hoch!" ("Raise the Flag!") has become the 2nd anthem of Nazi Reich.
