Autograpged, aged postcard of Kapitänleutnant Hans-Werner Kraus - the captain of U-Boots U-83 and U-133. 

Received Knight's Cross after his 9th patrol on June 19, 1942.

On 31 July, 1943 his U-Boot was hit by an aircraft near the Brazilian coast. Only 12 survived, including him. Kraus spent the rest of the war in American captivity.  

In 10 patrols his crew sunk 8 ships (12,702 tons) and damaged 2 ships (9,336 tons).
