Reproduction of autographed picture of deputy of Adolf Hitler - Rudolf Hess (Heß) in black SS uniform. It was taken sometime between end of April and June of 1933. 
 
History of Rudolf Hess in SS:
He joined SS on November 1, 1925 receiving SS-number 50 (his NSDAP number was 16!). By December 1932 got promoted to SS-Gruppenführer (rank in this photo) and on July 1st 1933 to Obergruppenführer. Although in September that year he quit SS, was granted the right to wear the uniform of Obergruppenführer despite that.
