He wore the ribbon for the German Cross of Victory 2nd Class in the top button-hole of his M32 black tunic. Ribbon comes to you 5 inches / ~13cm long (more than you will need).
 
Practical hint: after trimming the ribbon to the desired size/shape, I recommend to melt the edges briefly with a lighter to prevent any fraying.
