Beautiful certificate of bloodline (ger. Abstammungsnachweis, or Ariernachweis) issued by the Racial Studies Department of NSDAP in Vienna.
Certficate determines one of 4 groups individual can be classified as:
- Aryan (deutchblutig (arisch)),
- Mixed of 1st or 2nd grade (Mischling),
- or Jew (Jude)
Othe reverse contains data of ancestors which was used to determine classification - all 4 grandparents, parents and the individual.
Stamped and signed by Ancestry Office clerk and verified with another stamp by Gauleitung in Vienna.
Certificate comes blank, or filled out on a period German typewriter (see the footnote).
For partially filled out version (only front-side) please provide:
- Basic data of the individual in question:
- name (for woman also maiden),
- exact address and
- marital status.
- Classification (aryan, mixed 1st or 2nd grade, Jew)
- Issue date and document number (I can made them up)
For completely filled out version please provide (a lot of data!):
- For the individual in question: name (for woman also maiden), profession, birth date and place, date and place of baptism, religion. If married, name and religion of spouse, place and date of marriage
- Classification (aryan, mixed 1st or 2nd grade, Jew)
- Issue date and document number (I can made them up)
- For all 4 grandparents:
- names (maiden for grandma),
- birth date and place,
- religion at birth, wedding and (if applicable) death,
- date and place of marriage
- Same data for parents (religion just once though)
Please send the above data to krausepapierwerke@gmail.com. I know it's a lot of data, but remember you can correct your typoes, while I can't ;-)
* How is it filled out? It's a horizontal A4 document not fitting in most of the typewriters that survived. Luckily Krause owns one A3 Wanderer-Werke Continental typewriter from 1938 that can cope with the challenge!
