U-Boot-Kriegsabzeichen, Schnellbootkriegsabzeichen, Abzeichen für Blockadebrecher

Kriegsmarine - German Navy, fought in the shadow of its mightier enemies, but at times was a force to be reckoned with. Especially famous submarines that wrecked havoc in the early years of the war.

Krause's Kriegsmarine collection includes:

1. High Seas Fleet Badge (Flotten-Kriegsabzeichen)​ award certificate for crew of cruisers and battleships on the missions for 12 weeks+

2. U-Boat War Badge Award Certificate - there were several ways to be awarded this medal. The most common would be the completion of two or more war patrols. Although the completion of two war patrols might seem a lowly requirement, but a typical U-boat war cruise would often run into months at a time. The other occasion when this badge was awarded was having been wounded during a patrol or killed in action (less recommended).

3. U-Boat Front Clasp - late and rare award with unspecified award criteria. Interestingly available in bronze and silver grade only.

4. U-Boat War Badge LDO envelope (badge would be sold in such paper packet)

5. Fast Attack Craft (Schnellboot) War Badge Award Certificate awarded for outstandingly successful sortie, wounds in action, 12 sorties against enemy vessels or installations, or outstanding leadership.

6. Blockade Runner Badge - for bringing so much needed resources from overseas despite British blockade

7. Minesweeper War Badge - for Minesweepers, Submarine-Chasers and Escort-Vessel sailors

8. Hero's Death Certificate - well, at least your family would enjoy its sad beauty...

9. Death Card - Kriegsmarine specific, printed by family members to communicate the loss of the loved one
